COLLEGES OF LAW TO HOST MIDDAY MAYORAL CANDIDATE FORUM, OCT. 25

Four candidates vying for Santa Barbara Mayor have been confirmed for a downtown public panel to be broadcast on Facebook Live.

The Santa Barbara & Ventura Colleges of Law (COL) will present a midday forum featuring candidates for mayor of Santa Barbara from noon–1:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, at its Santa Barbara campus (20 E. Victoria Street).

The event will feature questions on local housing and State Street business development in addition to an audience Q&A session. In addition to providing a midday opportunity for the public to engage with candidates, the mayoral forum also will be broadcast on COL’s Facebook page via Facebook Live. The forum is free and open to the public, although space is limited, and parking will be available at the Anacapa St. garage. The race for mayor concludes on Election Day: Nov. 7, 2017.

  • Hal Conklin, President, USA Green Communities; former Santa Barbara Mayor and City Councilmember
  • Angel Martinez, former CEO and Chairman of Deckers Brands
  • Cathy Murillo, Santa Barbara City Councilmember – District Three
  • Harwood “Bendy” White, Santa Barbara City Councilmember
